Wesley Chapel is a small, quaint town in between Waxhaw and Weddington. It is located about 15 miles from downtown Charlotte.

In the 1800’s the area that is now known as Wesley Chapel was a meeting place, known as The McWhorter Campground. When a new meeting place was chosen, a church was built at the campground. This is how the town got its name, The Village of Wesley Chapel. The town wasn’t incorporated until 1998.

One of the social hubs of the area is the Village Commons Town Center, and it offers everything a resident might need. Village Commons is still underdevlopment, so it will only get better.
